Mr. Chan is the founding shareholder of Argyle Street Management Limited, and has been the Chief Investment Officer since inception in 2002. He is the Chairman of TIH Limited and a Non-Independent Non-Executive Director of OUE Limited, both listed on the Singapore Exchange. He is also a Non-Independent Non-Executive Director of CITIC Resources Holdings Limited, a Hong Kong-listed natural resources company, a Non-Independent Non-Executive Director of Pioneer Global Group Limited, a Hong King-listed company principally invest in commercial properties and hotels, and a Commissioner of PT Lippo Karawaci Tbk, an Indonesia-listed real estate company.

Mr. Chan was Chief Executive and Managing Director of Lazard Asia Limited from 2000 to 2001 and managed the firm’s advisory business in Asia outside of Japan. Prior to joining Lazard, Mr. Chan was an Executive Director at Goldman, Sachs & Co. where he worked in Hong Kong, New York and Singapore from 1992 to 1999.

Mr. Chan has completed transactions in China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Korea, Singapore and Thailand. The aggregate transaction size of all the deals that Mr. Chan has worked on exceeds US$15 billion. Mr. Chan has built strong relationships with a large number of relevant business people and organizations in many Asian countries. He has also developed an intimate understanding of how business is conducted in these countries.

Mr. Chan earned an A.B. degree from Princeton University and an MBA degree from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania where he was a Palmer Scholar. Mr. Chan has a number of academic distinctions including a Rotary Scholarship, United World College Scholarship, ‘Princeton University Class of 1941’ Scholarship and Ford Motor Company Fellowship. He has published academic articles on the real estate market in Hong Kong and on the relations between United States auto-assemblers and their suppliers.
