Mr. Feng has been working in the financial services industry since 1994. He co-founded Ocean Arete Limited in 2012, a discretionary macro hedge fund manager with over US$1 billion in AUM. He previously served as a managing director of General Atlantic LLC, a US$86 billion global growth private equity firm focused on technology enabled sectors. He established the Hong Kong office of General Atlantic in 2000, leading the firm’s investments in Greater China and overseeing the North Asia region (Japan, Korea, Greater China) over the course of his tenure as managing director. Prior to joining General Atlantic, Mr. Feng was a financial analyst with Goldman Sachs (Asia) LLC in Hong Kong working in the Direct Private Investing (formerly PIA) and Mergers and Acquisitions departments.

Mr. Feng is a board member of PCPD, a listed company in Hong Kong, and a board and audit committee member of TIH Limited, a listed company in Singapore. He previously served on the boards of numerous technology companies in Greater China, such as Lenovo, Digital China, Ren Ren, Data Systems, and Vimicro. While at General Atlantic, Mr. Feng actively assisted Legend Holdings with its expansion into venture capital and its evaluation of long-term growth strategies for Lenovo and Digital China. Mr. Feng subsequently assisted Digital China in its transition from an IT distribution platform to an IT services provider and Lenovo in its acquisition and integration of IBM’s personal computer business division, serving on the boards of both companies.

Mr. Feng has an MBA degree from Stanford University and a BA (high honors) and PhD from Harvard University. He also holds a certificate from the Kyoto-Stanford Center for Technology and Innovation.
