Investment Management Trainee

Position Overview:

We hire highly proactive and motivated trainees to join our team selectively from time to time. Our trainees primarily focus on Southeast Asian and Greater China special situation investments. As an integral part of our investment team, trainees will be responsible for conducting on site due diligence and in-depth analysis to help screening, recommending and executing investment opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • Support investment managers throughout the whole investment life cycle (i.e., Sourcing, execution, as well as post-investment management) on transactions covering diverse asset class (i.e. traded securities, mezzanine financing, secondary private equity, and NLPs and various structured transactions)
  • Conduct thorough research and analysis to assess potential investment opportunities by analyzing financial statements, assessing creditworthiness, and conducting due diligence
  • Prepare detailed investment reports, presentations, and other documentation to effectively communicate investment recommendations
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and market developments to enhance investment strategies
  • Provide comprehensive support for fund management activities, encompassing various responsibilities such as marketing, handling client data, and addressing information requests

Qualification:

  • University graduate with keen interests in investment environment in Southeast Asia and Greater China.  Local language ability is highly preferred.
  • A track record of commitment to excellence in academic records and/or other pursuits
  • Proactive and effective in verbal and written communication with in English.  High social intelligence
  • Demonstrate fervent enthusiasm for  investment and fund management industry, as well as deep industry curiosity for business and current affairs
  • Solid analytical skills, business sense and intellectual curiosity for perform in-depth financial analysis and due diligence
  • Strong computing skills (including but not limited to programming, database.  A degree in accounting, finance, business, information system or law is a plus.
